Black Nativity

Posted: Updated:

There's only one way to work off that turkey and all the fixings. Yeah, sit in front of the TV or go to the movies. If you're looking for a flick that's filled with holiday spirit, "Black Nativity is the perfect ticket. Date night Louis?

"Black Nativity" is a modern day movie musical filled with holiday spirit.

Academy Award Winning actress and Grammy award winning singer Jennifer Hudson, stars in the movie. I caught up with J-Hud and her co-star up and coming singer Jacob Latimore in LA a to dish on the movie and get the deets on their amazing voices.

Shireen: "Did you have a moment where you were like, Man, I can sing?"

JENNIFER HUDSON: "For me, it took someone else to tell me. You're really good, like..this little girl can really really sing! And to see the impact it made on others."

Shireen: "You're so sweet, I'd be like I AM GOOD."

JENNIFER HUDSON: "Oh no, now I'll tell you I AM GOOD."

Jennifer plays a struggling single mom. Jacob plays her son together they sing like angels.

Shireen: "What kind of musical is this? Because people in Miami love their music?"

JACOB LATIMORE: "We're really just speaking through music in an artistic way. A lot of people kind of shy away from musicals, oh it's a musical, I don't wanna really watch that, I think a lot of people will be surprised about how the music ties into the film."

The music ranges from gospel, R&B to Hip-Hop. There's definitely something for everyone. Even a few classic Christmas carols.

The movie is about finding peace, love, happiness and inspiration. So we all shared what inspires us.

Shireen: "As a reporter, for me, I read books or watch 60 minutes. You know, to get inspired."

As for Jennifer and Jacob well, they just love watching people when they're really.

JENNIFER HUDSON: "Into what they do, I love that. I always find an appreciation for even if I don't know nothing about what you do, because you're passionate about it, I'm curious. I wanna learn more about it, so that, I find inspiration in."

JACOB LATIMORE: "Watching people just do what they love, just dedicating themselves, no matter what field it is."

You'll find your own inspiration when you watch "Black Nativity" and possibly even a new favorite song.

Sometimes, love can be hard to find in South Florida. The same can't be said for burgers, though. Tasty patties are everywhere. A new joint is offering up a unique take on this favorite comfort food. It's fresh, healthy and tastes like nothing you've tried before. Welcome to Burger Love.
