MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- One of the year's most popular events is set to open this weekend.

The 2014 Miami International Boat Show is ready to open its doors to the public this Saturday. "This is actually the biggest show with the most participants that we've had since 2007," said boat show manager Kevin Murphy

More then 3,000 boats are in place and 2,000 companies are setting up their spots for the five-day show held at the Miami Beach Convention Center and Biscayne Bay. "We are looking at more boats in the water, more boats on land, more exhibitors in the booth area," said Murphy.

From luxury motor, sailing yacht, sports fishers, family cruisers to performance boats, the options are endless.

If $800,000 is not in your budget, HydraSports Custom has smaller options on the floor.

Strictly Sail Miami is the place to hop on a sail boat or catamaran in Bayfront Park. Just a short ride from the Convention Center, you can check out the most luxurious sail boats in the world.

Drivers are to expect road closures and traffic delays around the Convention Center from Saturday through Monday. "We actually try to shuttle people from different outside parking lots so that they are not in the traffic as much as they need to be," said Murphy.
