Son of God

Posted: Updated:

When it comes to biblical stories Jesus wrote the book. Well maybe the sequel. Now the producers of "Son of God" are hoping movie fans will flock to their leap of faith.

He was born, he was crucified but the movie "Son of God" shows Jesus' life before the crucifixion. Diogo Morgado, AKA Jesus says the story is definitely intimate.

Diogo Morgado: "It is an epic but also an intimate story about the whole life of Jesus but told in a way that its really personal."

Producers Mark Burnett and Roma Downey, they're married by the way, created something bigger than they imagined, and 20th Century Fox picked it up.

Mark Burnett: "When we made it we really didn't know what would happen. We just knew this had to be on a big screen."

And we're not surprised. Besides being a pretty popular story this movie has another much sexier appeal.

Roma Downey: "I've had so many girlfriends say to me and the guy that you have playing Jesus he's so good looking. Is that wrong to say? It's like no, its great right? It's beautiful. An attractor to the story."

We know what you're saying Roma and Diogo doesn't mind the attention

Diogo Morgado: "It feels good. I take it as a compliment."

Roma Downey: "Everybody is falling in love with Jesus."

For most couples working together can be a huge pain in the you know where, but not so much for Mark and Roma

Roma Downey: "We joke that many couples can't even work in the yards together and we have had this opportunity to produce The Bible mini series to produce Son of God together and the real miracle is that we are still speaking to each other."

Seems like these two figured out the perfect way to keep the peace.

Mark Burnett: "You just have to know I'm married to an angel so If I ever have like a disagreement with Roma."

Diogo Morgado: "You'd lose."

Mark: "I'd look like the worst guy in the world. Everybody loves my wife. Everybody. So if I ever disagree with her I I'll I can only lose."

I'll never forget the endless summers I spent on the coast of North Carolina. My shoulders were always kissed by the sun, my hair was continually salty from the ocean and my one-piece, bright blue bathing suit was my constant companion.

I don't remember dying, but I did. Twice. It was a chilly Fall morning in October at a dentist's office in Santa Fe. My mom had escorted me to what was supposed to be a regular wisdom teeth extraction appointment.
