Picking food off the menu is so over-rated. So meet the freedom fighters of "The Counter" in Aventura.

Kreg Kimmons: "At The Counter we're all about choices. We're all about different personalities. We don't want our guests to feel limited by telling them what to order."

Thats right. At The Counter, you get to become a food architect. No formal education needed.

Kreg Kimmons: "Theres a selection sheet that you actually go through and design your sandwich yourself. You pick everything about it, the protein and the cheese and the bread and the sauces and the toppings and the bun."

Simply, leave a mark by all the stuff you want and don't be afraid to be creative.

There are six types of patties:

Kreg Kimmons: "We've got angus beef, organic bison, sushi grade ahi tuna."

Also, turkey, chicken, or veggie.

Kreg Kimmons: "I think we got something for everybody, whether it's a vegan, to someone who's on a gluten restricted diet. We have a choice for everybody."

Choose from 16 different types of cheeses, 30 different types of sauces, and close to 50 different toppings.

Kreg Kimmons: "We have unlimited toppings, you can put as many toppings as you want."

Have everything served in a bowl or pick the bun you want.

Kreg Kimmons: "People really enjoy designing a burger from the ground up because they like to see it when we present it to them and the guests that they're with, get to see it as well."
