MIAMI (WSVN) -- Residents said about 42 cars were vandalized at a South Florida apartment building.

The burglaries happened early Thursday morning at the apartment building at 120 S.W. 8th Ave. Investigators arrived on the scene to find car windows smashed and glove compartments ransacked.

Some residents said a few of their belongings, including GPS and MP3 players, were missing. While others said their windows were broken but nothing was taken.

Surveillance video from the apartment building captured at least four men busting car windows. One man was seen breaking the back window and climbing into the car head first, and at one point half his body is seen in the car.

Miami Police Department Officer Frederica Burden said, "About 3 a.m. this morning, at least two that we know of, people came into this apartment building and broke in or vandalized over 40 vehicles."

Many residents found out about the burglaries as they were getting ready to leave for work. "My son woke me up and told me there were crime scene people in the garage and that I needed to come clear the car," said one resident. "They said about 42 cars were vandalized and broken into."

Another resident said, "My wife was about to go to work, and she found out," said resident Diego Seliman. He said they took an iPod from his car.

Seliman, who has lived in the building for four years with his wife and children said he now fears for his family. "They break into your car, they break into many cars and what's next? Could be your home."

"There is no explanation for this vandalism," said resident Gaston Gonzalez. "We are supposed to be a close community, with security cameras."

The apartment building has at least four floors of parking for residents.

Detectives are now trying to determine how vandals were able to enter the parking garage, which has gates and security cameras. "The building is secure. We're still trying to figure out how they entered the garage," said Burden.

If you have any information on these burglaries, call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a reward.

Sometimes, love can be hard to find in South Florida. The same can't be said for burgers, though. Tasty patties are everywhere. A new joint is offering up a unique take on this favorite comfort food. It's fresh, healthy and tastes like nothing you've tried before. Welcome to Burger Love.

Some people are good at putting out fires. They're called firefighters. Others are good at baking pies. They're called bakers. But one man is excellent at both. He's a crusty firefighter, and we mean that in a really good way.
