3 employees transported to hospital after toxic gas leak

Posted: Updated:

MIAMI (WSVN) -- Three employees at a Miami supermarket warehouse were taken to the hospital after a toxic gas leak, Thursday morning.

Skyforce HD hovered over the scene at 1090 N.W. 23rd St., in Miami, where the three employees suffered from carbon monoxide poisoning.

The workers had reported feeling nauseous and dizzy while using a forklift.

Hazmat crews determined carbon monoxide levels at the warehouse were too high and an exhaust fan had been turned off.

The building was evacuated for about 20 minutes, but it has since reopened.
