HIALEAH, Fla. (WSVN) -- A South Florida mother is behind bars after, police said, she engaged in a physical altercation with a 12-year-old girl on school property, an incident that was captured on video.

Hialeah Police arrested 35-year-old Irisdaly Rios, Tuesday, near Hialeah Middle School. Officials said the incident occurred after school hours, near a park owned by the school system.

Officials said Rios pulled up in her car after her 12-year-old daughter had a verbal altercation with another student, 12-year-old Ashley Perez. She got out of her vehicle and exchanged words with Perez. According to the arrest affidavit, she got angry with Perez and started to swing at her with open hands.

At this point, onlookers had already started shooting video and captured Rios and Perez exchanging slaps, swings and punches. Student Carlos Perez, who witnessed the attack said, "She lost it. Everybody was going crazy cause they wanted to jump in and separate her, but we were scared she was going to hit us."

Rios scratched the victim on the neck, causing her to bleed. "I have scratches on my back. I have a broken tooth," said Ashley Perez.

Police said she then struck the 12-year-old with a closed fist on the upper lip. The victim defended herself, scratching Rios on her arm and neck. "I went blind for like two seconds, and when I opened my eyes she was still slapping me," said Ashley Perez.

Perez said, after the attack, she had a series of headaches and had to go to the hospital. "My vision was a little blurry. I didn't know what to do cause she punched me here," she said as she pointed at her face. "I didn't know what to do."

A few seconds later, Rios got back into her car. "Child abuse, child abuse," a witness could be heard yelling on the video. Rios then got back out and resumed the fight. "I called the police before my mom because my mom works far. I thought it was better to call the police," said Ashley Perez. "I'm not her daughter, and she hit me like that. I think that is abuse. I never thought that would happen to me."

Rios was arrested shortly thereafter and charged with simple battery.

According to the arrest report, two different witnesses said that Rios was "the primary aggressor."

She was released on $1,500 bond, at midnight, March 5.

Miami is a city of vices and so is Sin City. Luckily, the 305 isn't as violent but we do love our vices. Shireen, what's your vice? Shoes, purses, lipgloss, anything that sparkles and shoes. Did I already say that? We also asked the cast of "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For" what their vices are, from vino, cheese to Mexican food. You won't be disappointed.
