Burglars steal $200,000 worth of e-cigarettes

Posted: Updated:

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (WSVN) -- A business owner said she had hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of e-cigarettes stolen. Just a few weeks later, she said, someone tried to sell them back to her.

Talor Zafrir is the owner of the electronic cigarette store that was burglarized. Surveillance video captured a group of thieves stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of e-cigarette merchandize from Zafrir's store, located on State Road 7 and Hollywood.

The surveillance video shows the people who broke into the store. When they broke in, the burglars ran to the back of the store. The burglars then brought out boxes of merchandise. They placed a box on the store counter and filled it with the stolen merchandise.

Zafrir said that the loss has been devastating. "I lost $200,000 and not to mention the reputation they ruined because I became out of stock overnight."

The burglary originally occurred back in October. The store owners hoped that the suspects would be caught.

Zafrir produces her own unique brand of electronic cigarettes called Uno Vapor. Then, Zafrir said, someone walked into her shop a few weeks ago and tried to sell her the Uno Vapor brand for a quarter of the original price at her Hialeah store location. "Uno Vapor is my product. Many of them were stolen from the front, which we saw on camera," said Zafrir.

Zafrir is working with police to solve the case. "In the video we see the guy breaking in," said Zafrir. "They pulled out the lock from the door, and they ran right into the back of the store. They knew exactly where they were going."

Zafrir released the surveillance video to the public with hopes that someone in the public has the clue police need to solve the case. If you have any information on this theft, call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a reward.

You can work up a great big hunger when you're an action hero, especially if you're playing a guy who's half man, half god. Dwyane "The Rock" Johnson gets really hungry in his latest movie, "Hercules." Our So-Flo homeboy had to stay pretty jacked for the role. That meant watching his diet, but when it was finally time to let loose, he knew just where to go.
