Need for Speed

Posted: Updated:

We know the saying from Tom Cruise and know the moves from a video game. But now "Need for Speed" is headed to the theaters.

This time the driver is an Emmy Winner and he's breaking all the rules of the road. Right Mr. White?

"Need for Speed" is racing into theaters. It's the big screen version of the hit video game series.

Two of the stars Aaron Paul and Ramon Rodriguez were hanging out in SoFlo today and they were dishing with deco about the flick.

Ramon Rodriguez: "Toby and Joe are two average guys. They love cars, mechanic racer driving his whole life. Under the hood grease monkey they love each other they are brothers."

Aaron plays and underground street racer and Ramon is his best friend and a member of his pit crew.

Aaron Paul: "They have a great brotherhood going on and would do anything for each other, and in this case they are after the bad guy. They are trying to right a wrong. they all have vengeance on their mind."

Just because the guys were in the 305 for work, doesn't mean they didn't find time for SoFlo fun.

Ramon Rodriguez: "I went to the Calle Ocho festival yesterday."

Aaron Paul: "It was great, yah lots of culture had a beer. It was nice."

OK so how do two movie stars wander around the world's largest block party?

Ramon Rodriguez: "We just bob and weave. We just blend in."

Aaron Paul: "It was great."

Ramon Rodriguez: "It was amazing. Music, food."

It's a good thing the roads are closed for Calle Ocho because for the movie. These guys wrecked lots of cars.

Aaron Paul: "For each super car. They had two replicas made that they could destroy. 7 Mustangs and we destroyed all of them."

If you need a crash course the stars are urging you to race back to see it again.

Aaron Paul: "Go see the movie lots of time. Multiple times. 3-4 times minimum. That's when the true real deep story."

Ramon Rodriguez: "The layers start coming down and you start to get into it."

Mattie McDonald was one of the prettiest women I'd ever seen. She had light green eyes, dark brown hair and milky white skin. When she wafted by me, she smelled of lavender, honeysuckle and some other hypnotizing perfume I couldn't quite put my finger on. I spent a lot of my spare time daydreaming about her and not just because I wanted to know her. Ultimately, I wanted to be her.

You can work up a great big hunger when you're an action hero, especially if you're playing a guy who's half man, half god. Dwyane "The Rock" Johnson gets really hungry in his latest movie, "Hercules." Our So-Flo homeboy had to stay pretty jacked for the role. That meant watching his diet, but when it was finally time to let loose, he knew just where to go.
