MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- It was a dream come true for a little girl battling a dangerous diagnosis.

Seven-year-old Aniyah arrived in style to her party, and all eyes were on her.

"We need everybody to stand up, we need everybody on their feet. We're about to see the grand entrance," said an announcer.

She got all dolled up in a grass skirt and a Hawaiian flower leis as her wish for a Hawaiian luau was granted. Aniyah was surrounded by 75 family and friends, and with the help of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, her dream of becoming a Hula girl came true Saturday at the Palms Hotel in Miami Beach. "My daughter wanted to go to Hawaii and unfortunately after her surgery she was unable to attend, so instead of going to Hawaii they brought Hawaii to her," said Aniyah's mom, Crystal Bowling.

Aniyah's journey to make a wish started back in January 2013. "My daughter was diagnosed with a brain tumor called ependymoma. Jan. 16, she had brain surgery. She was in the hospital for like two weeks... She did three months already of treatments and they were saying since it was a life threatening situation I could wait to see if Make-A-Wish could make one of her wishes come true," said Bowling.

Not only did they make her wish come true, they gave her the royal treatment. Before making her luau debut, the 7-year-old got her makeup and hair done, and had a manicure at the Aveda salon.

Make-A-Wish got Aniyah practice sessions with the pros, so when she took center stage she was a star. "She's done four classes, so it's been a whole process," said wish granter Lourdes Nieves. "There's two other dancers coming, and she's supposed to dance with them."

Mom said like any 7-year-old child, Aniyah was excited for her moment. "Once we arrived it was like, Oh my God it's finally here. It's finally coming true, and then once we approached everyone she had the shy moment," said Bowling. "She's my little princess, my miracle princess."

Make-A-Wish Southern Florida has granted more than 9,000 wishes to children who have life-threatening medical conditions for over 30 years. They grant one wish every 16 hours.
