4th Annual Taste of Brickell Food and Wine Festival

Posted: Updated:

The Ultra Music Festival isn't the only party going down in Miami this weekend. Foodies will be converging on Brickell for the 4th Annual Taste of Brickell Food and Wine Festival. Your taste buds are already dancing.

It's a food lover's dream come true. The Taste of Brickell Food and Wine Festival is back for its fourth year on Saturday. Here's your chance to feast on the finest fare being offered by neighborhood eateries.

Octavio Solis: "We're featuring around 25 of the best restaurants in the Brickell and Downtown area."

There's always something new to taste at the festival, and this year is no exception.

Octavio Solis: "We keep bringing in new restaurants to showcase them to the community all night and let the public know that they're out there and they're good."

Atrio Restaurant and Wine Bar at the Conrad Miami is back for its fourth go-round. Mixologist Pamela Obondo has come up with a trio of new cocktails, including the rum-based "Toast of the Keys" and "Sunrise in the Bahamas." The "Bay-kong Manhattan" is literally a dessert in a glass.

Pamela Obando: "The basic reason that I came up with the Bay-kong Manhattan is because it combines all my favorite things. It combines desserts, it combines bacon, bourbon, rum. I mean to me there's not much more that's better than that."

Mondo Pasta is a newcomer to the neighborhood and to the festival.

Sebastian Grubissich: "I think it's the best way to show the people our products. I think that the Taste of Brickell is the taste of Mondo Pasta too."

Every piece of pasta is made from scratch right there in the restaurant.

Sebastian Grubissich: "We make all our pasta from scratch. Fresh quality semolina. We use fresh whole eggs. We don't use beaten eggs or liquid eggs. We try to give the people the best things we can."

Three of Mondo Pasta's best dishes will be there for the tasting at the Brickell Food and Wine Festival.

Sebastian Grubissich: "We're gonna have there ricotta, mozzarella and ham raviolis, which is one of our signature dishes and then the black crab meat agnolottis which are made with our squid ink, and then the spinach linguini with carusso sauce."
