Noah

Obviously God's not dead by the number of people who went to see "Noah" over the weekend. But the question of God presented a challenge to filmmakers. After all, it's God who tells Noah to build the ark. So what to do? Cast Morgan Freeman, again? Bring back the burning bush? Nah, the director chose a more new age approach.

The story of "Noah" jumps from the Bible on to the big screen in an epic way.

Russel Crowe brings the legendary character to life more superhero than kindly old dude, but if Oscar winner Crowe's playing Noah, who do you get to play God?

Darren Aronofsky: "We decided to have the communication happen through sound and image as opposed to a voice-over by Morgan Freeman or James Earl Jones, both of whom were busy and very expensive to do that type of job."

Louis Aguirre: "The burning bush not working any more?"

Darren Aronofsky: "It didn't feel as magical."

Enter Noah's grandpa, Methuselah. According to the Bible, at 969 years old, he's the oldest person to ever have lived. Deliciously played by Sir Anthony Hopkins.

Louis: "You're looking good for?"

Sir Anthony Hopkins: "90 years of age? That's why they cast me as Methuselah."

Now, Methuselah plays a very important role in the film. When a troubled Noah comes to him for spiritual advice, he gives his grandson a very potent cup of tea.

Sir Anthony Hopkins: "The only thing I don't understand is when he offers him a cup of tea, did they have tea back in those days?"

Louis: "Then, well, it's not really tea its a mind altering substance."

Sir Anthony Hopkins: "Oh, I see. They were into all that stuff even then."

Louis: "Yeah, back then."

Oh, Sir Anthony...

Louis: "I love that he received the message from God while tripping out on ayahuasca with his grandfather."

Darren Aronofsky: "I don't know what you're talking about. We have to have a conversation later."

Louis: "He's a great character."

Sir Anthony Hopkins: "You reckon?"

Louis: "I would hang out with him."
