Lashes

Posted: Updated:

Long, luscious eyelashes aren't just for the rich and famous. They're for the fashion forward too. Tonight, Deco's Shireen Sandoval has got her eye on a hot new trend, if you want to bat your eyelashes with the best of 'em.

Shireen: "When you put on a pair of lashes, what does it do? Does it just open up your face?"

Sheere Proctor: "It opens your eyes, it gives you a whole new look. It builds your confidence."

Kitty Lashes of Hollywood in Miramar is winking at you, kid.

Shireen: "When you're looking at the people on TV and in Hollywood, are they doing this?"

Sheere Proctor: "Definitely. Don't be fooled. They have bottoms and tops, and everyone wants the Kim Kardashian look."

Sheere Proctor is an eyelash extension guru.

Sheere Proctor: "This is the best time because it's summer time. You wanna be on the beach, you want to look different, this is definitely for you."

At her day spa, she'll relax you and then, transform your lashes into absolute luscious-ness; with a stylish twist.

Shireen: "Tell me about some of the creative eyelash extensions that you have."

Sheere Proctor: "What I carry is a rainbow of colors. It doesn't make you look like a clown. It's an enhancement of color."

Each extension is carefully mixed into your own natural lashes: You can choose between mink, silk or synthetic.

Sheere Proctor: "It's spring time, you wanna do something fun, we have the flaming red."

How about purple passion? Or iceberg blue?

Sheere Proctor: "It almost looks like you're just wearing mascara, but you can wake up, wash your face and go."

I adore the natural look, too. It's feathery and flawless. So long mascara. We weren't really friends anyway.

Shireen: "How long does the process take from beginning to end?"

Sheere Proctor: "It can take anywhere from an hour and a half to three hours."

Lashes, depending on the volume and length start around $150.

Shireen: "What do you think about Lynn's eyelashes? What kind of lashes would you do on her? She needs the big doe lashes."

Sheere Proctor: "I would definitely do that curvy look. She has great eyes, she does that meow."

Shireen: "What would you put on Louis? We want his subtle because he shouldn't be prettier than the girls."

Sheere Proctor: "I would put the natural curve it's called the X-30."

Sounds sexy and so Louis.

Sheere Proctor: "Your hair could be done. Your makeup could be done, but you don't feel complete until your eyelashes are done."

Shireen: "Amen!"

Mattie McDonald was one of the prettiest women I'd ever seen. She had light green eyes, dark brown hair and milky white skin. When she wafted by me, she smelled of lavender, honeysuckle and some other hypnotizing perfume I couldn't quite put my finger on. I spent a lot of my spare time daydreaming about her and not just because I wanted to know her. Ultimately, I wanted to be her.
