Mr. PB&J

Posted: Updated:

Think about some of the sticky, yummy stuff you loved as a kid? Peanut butter, jelly, Nutella, honey and marshmallow fluff. Yeah and the crunchy-sugary things too. Like Graham Crackers and Frosted Flakes. Now you can mix 'em all up for a sweet eat

From Miami's newest food truck Mr. PB&J.

No bat just a hat on Mr. PB&J. It's South Florida's first food truck with PB&J and enough other stuff to blow your socks off.

Alex Valle: "We have so many different types of toppings. We have so many differently types of ways you can make your PB&J. We have over 200 different types of combinations, you know you would never find a PB&J like ours."

Alex Valle: "We cook our own bacon, we make all our ingredients fresh. We have fresh bananas, fresh strawberries. We have Frosted Flakes, Graham Crackers to Marshmallow Fluff to s'mores."

Bacon and bananas? Smack your lips and swivel your hips for "The King."

Alex Valle: "We call it "The King" because it's kinda like a traditional Elvis, and we can name it the King for Lebron James cuz we do live in Miami."

Crisp bacon, ooey-gooey honey and bananas on challah bread, yum this one's called "The Great White."

Alex Valle: "We start off with white bread. Put some white chocolate peanut butter."

Add raspberry jelly, a dollop of cream cheese and the secret ingredient. The crunch is what makes it so g-g-g-reat.

Patty Delgado: "The sugar goes very good with the peanut butter. The crunchy, everything just works so well. Best peanut butter and jelly sandwich I've ever had."

Alex Valle: "Our most exotic sandwich is the Miami Spice. It has chicken, Siracha, a little bit of curry powder, peanut butter, apricot jelly with some chopped basil and our special challah bread."

Grill it and slice the Miami Spice is so nice and messy too.

Alex Valle: "Of course you want some toppings falling out for when you go in your basket. You can still grab some toppings, eat it with your sandwich and dip it into it."

This hot mess'll have you saying' "please sir I want s'more!"

Alex Valle: "It has a cinnamon raisin bread, peanut butter."

Nutella, marshmallow fluff, Graham crackers.

Alex Valle: "And the last step caramel right on top."

Smushed grilled it's s'more-a-licious.

Xilo Rivera: "Definitely never had a PB&J like this. I never would have thought of it."

But if you can think of it Mr. PB&J will make it your own.

Alex Valle: "We can make it anyway you like. We have over seven types of bread, seven types of jelly, five types of peanut butter and a bunch of toppings you can choose from."

I'll never forget the endless summers I spent on the coast of North Carolina. My shoulders were always kissed by the sun, my hair was continually salty from the ocean and my one-piece, bright blue bathing suit was my constant companion.

The last time I had on a pair of overalls, I was miles from civilization with a whip in my hand, an hysterical co-worker by my side and five angry cowboys staring me down.

I don't remember dying, but I did. Twice. It was a chilly Fall morning in October at a dentist's office in Santa Fe. My mom had escorted me to what was supposed to be a regular wisdom teeth extraction appointment.

Sometimes, love can be hard to find in South Florida. The same can't be said for burgers, though. Tasty patties are everywhere. A new joint is offering up a unique take on this favorite comfort food. It's fresh, healthy and tastes like nothing you've tried before. Welcome to Burger Love.
