Easter Candy

Posted: Updated:

Two SoFlo shops are offering tons of gooey goodies guaranteed to send your sweet tooth straight to candy heaven.

Dylan's Candy Bar in South Beach sells sweet, sugary stuff every day of the year. But one day is different from all others.

Dylan Lauren: "Well we are doing a lot for Easter. It's one of my favorite holidays because of so much color and my favorite animal is rabbits."

Listen up Deco peeps, an Easter favorite is yours for the taking.

Dylan Lauren: "We have a ton of Peeps in every color, in every flavor more than any other store."

You can fill your Easter basket with lollipops, gummi bears and all that good stuff or buy one that's already made. You can even take a house back to your house.

Dylan Lauren: "We also have these Easter gingerbread houses, so they're gingerbread houses with the pastel icing and flower patterns."

Dylan's is also offering special beverages for the holiday. These drinks are definitely not for the little ones.

Dylan Lauren: "We do candy-tized candy cocktails, which is really fun so we'll take candy flavors and candy flavorings and infuse them with alcohol."

The Easter bunny would get quite a buzz from the Strawberry Nerds Mojito, a spiced rum cocktail with you guessed it a boxful of Nerds sprinkled on top. Then there's the aptly-named Pop Rocks explosion.

Dylan Lauren: "The Pop Rocks explode in your mouth when you're drinking it and the whole glass is garnished with pop rocks."

Candy cocktails require only one thing: More candy.

Michael Mcnary: "It creates a party atmosphere, you know, you have fun with tons of candy."

Meet the sweet-tooth experts at It'Sugar in Pembroke Pines, and at every other It'Sugar" store in SoFlo.

Michael Mcnary: "It's a store of overindulgence and delight. It's a store for ages. It's a store to have fun in."

It's a store where they're ready to help you over-indulge in your favorite candy.

Michael Mcnary: "We have a wide selection of all different types of gifts for Easter, for Easter baskets, a lot of colorful things, a lot of different candies."

Best part, no more fighting over your sweets, they're so big they're extra shareable.

Michael Mcnary: "We have these giant gummy bunnies which are awesome. In addition to that, we have these ginormous Peeps party packs which contain over sixty Peeps."

There are huge boxes of some of your favorites, like Nerds, Laffy Taffy and Gobstopper just to name a few.

Michael Mcnary: "If you're a chocolate lover, if you're a sour lover, you like it really sweet, we have it all for you."

Sounds like I may need to move in.

Mattie McDonald was one of the prettiest women I'd ever seen. She had light green eyes, dark brown hair and milky white skin. When she wafted by me, she smelled of lavender, honeysuckle and some other hypnotizing perfume I couldn't quite put my finger on. I spent a lot of my spare time daydreaming about her and not just because I wanted to know her. Ultimately, I wanted to be her.
