DORAL, Fla. (WSVN) -- Florida senators on both sides of the political divide are offering a show of support to the Venezuelan community as the crisis in Caracas rages on.

Senator Bill Nelson (Dem.-FL) and Senator Marco Rubio (Rep.-FL) came together at the Arepazo in Doral, Thursday morning, because, they said, they feel strongly about what is happening in Venezuela, and they want to keep calling for an end to the crisis in the country.

It has been two months since demonstrations began against the government of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro. The protests have resulted in more than 30 deaths.

On Thursday, the senators announced ways they believe the U.S. can help the people of Venezuela. Nelson said, "The government could be much more open in its immigration policy, in a special status for Venezuelans who want to come here to escape the political pressure."

Rubio said hopes to have a congressional hearing where he and fellow lawmakers can make a decisions on a plan of action against Venezela's government. "We want to see a sanctions bill that sanctions the violence and the individuals responsible for the violence in Venezuela, both in the government and related to the government, many of whom have properties and are making all those ill-gotten gains here in the United States," he said. "Before we can do that, we think we have to have a public hearing where we can present the evidence and convince our colleagues of the importance of this, and that is what we hope the hearing will be about as soon as we get back."

Senator Rubio said he thinks he will be able to convince his colleagues, but there has not been a date set yet for the hearing. The date is expected to be set in the next few days.

Here in So-Flo, we like to hang out half naked, especially in the summer, which is why eating healthy is so important to keep that bod in shape. I know eating healthy can be so boring. I mean, I wanna look good and feel good, but I don't wanna give up taste. I just found a healthy new joint that's both delicious and has me seriously considering becoming a vegan.

Our SoFlo home boy had to stay pretty jacked for the role that meant watching his diet, but when it was finally time to let loose, he knew just where to go.
