A Haunted House 2 -- Marlon Wayans

Posted: Updated:

Marlon Wayans is one funny guy, and he proves it in his new movie "A Haunted House 2," which opens tomorrow. I recently sat down with the comedian right here in the Magic City to talk about his new film, and to find out what makes him laugh. The answer may surprise you.

Marlon Wayans is back on the big screen poking some major fun at frightening movies again.

Shireen: "What movies are you poking fun of this time?"

Marlon: "We set up 'The Conjuring.'"

Shireen: "OK, love that one. It's a good one."

Marlon: "We got that spooky little doll in there, and we do some hilarious things to her. Then we got 'The Possession.' We got 'Sinister.' 'Insidious,' a little bit of 'Devil Inside' and a little bit of 'The Amityville Horror.'"

Marlon stars in "A Haunted House 2" as Malcolm, who's starting over with a new life and a new love. In the first movie, his girlfriend was possessed by the devil, or something like it.

Marlon sure knows how to get a laugh, but what makes him go all loosey-goosey?

Shireen: "Who do you think the funniest human is on the face of the earth?"

Marlon: "I don't know. Pick any kid."

Shireen: "Yeah. Kids are funny, right?"

Marlon: "You could pick anyone."

Shireen: "Especially at a certain age."

Marlon: "At three or four, they're just honest."

He says kids get him every time, especially his nephew.

Marlon: "My sister was holding my nephew, Li'l Damien, and she was laughing and my nephew was like, 'I smell something in your mouth,' and she went 'What?' He said, 'I smell it again, and I think it's your mouth.'"

Marlon loves a dose of honesty.

Marlon: "Meanwhile, my sister had a cavity at the time and it was kicking' up dust, but no one wanted to tell her this, but the fact that he said it in such an innocent way, it just blew the house down, so kids, man, and old people."

Listening to old people give good schtick makes this Wayans brother happy.

Marlon: "Pick any old black man on the bench who has about a year or two years left to live and he's gonna tell you exactly how he feels about how he got STDs. 'Man, my meat looks like a damn burnt match, but it was good.'"

Shireen: "My fake eyelashes are coming off."

Marlon wants to make sure you enjoy the Easter holiday with a frightening movie. "A Haunted House 2" opens Friday.

Mattie McDonald was one of the prettiest women I'd ever seen. She had light green eyes, dark brown hair and milky white skin. When she wafted by me, she smelled of lavender, honeysuckle and some other hypnotizing perfume I couldn't quite put my finger on. I spent a lot of my spare time daydreaming about her and not just because I wanted to know her. Ultimately, I wanted to be her.

When I walked out of the Hong Kong airport, the heat of the city slapped me so hard across the face, it was like a woman catching her cheating husband with a long-suspected mistress.

When I was the in the sixth grade, I used to style my hair in a long, hot dog curl. Not as in a ponytail; that would have been cute. Instead, I brushed it all forward as flat as I could get it and once it reached my forehead, I curled the entire thing upward to create mock bangs. Yeah, it was pretty horrible. If you don't believe me, check out the inset picture of the blog. That's me, in all my hair glory.Mind you, I wasn't trying to look bad on purpose. I just didn't know how to do my own h...

You know what they say about a man that has a big foot and long hair? Yeah, that they would make a really good Hercules. And while Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock has big feet, well he needed a little help in the hair department. Tonight The Rock is talking about how he became Hercules; everything from his feet, hair and to that fabulous body.
