The Quiet Ones

Posted: Updated:

I have good news and bad news. The good is that we haven't scared our audience off just yet. The bad is that there's a movie out that may do just that. Deco talked to the cast of a new scary film called "The Quiet Ones" about the supernatural, ghosts and, scariest of all, bad 70s hair.

In "The Quiet Ones," a professor and his small crew conduct an experiment on a girl only to discover supernatural forces.

This scary flick is set in the 1970s, when people smoked a lot and had weird hair.

Sam Claflin: "What about my hair? Between that and my sideburns, I think we're all a bit 70s up."

Jared Harris: "We all were, sadly, victims of the 70s fashion. You looked good, actually."

Olivia Cooke: "Yeah, don't give yourself a hard time. You did only wear one shirt, though, like a turtle."

Sam Claflin: "Oh, God."

Lucky for these guys, you get too caught up in the story to even notice the fashion.

Sam Claflin: "It's very intriguing, very interesting."

Almost as interesting as experiencing the supernatural firsthand. If you believe in that kind of thing.

Sam Claflin: "I find it hard to believe when people tell me about their experiences with the supernatural. I'm like, 'Yeah, sure,' but I think if something like that was really happening, I'd wanna be very hands-on."

Jared Harris: "What worries me about that, you'd like to have the experience, but you don't really know how you're going to react. And you could really embarrass yourself. And that's what would worry me. I'd think that I'd go, 'Yeah, I'd like to experience that,' but I might just turn screaming and run out of the room."

Probably the reaction most of us would have. Most of us, except this brave soul.

Olivia Cooke: "I had one last night. I saw a Jamaican man in my room. It was just hovering over my bed, and I went like that and it just disappeared."

Hmmm... We wonder how she knew the man was Jamaican.

Sam Claflin: "Very good question."

Olivia Cooke: "I asked him. This is a lie, this is a lie. They've set me up."

When I got the assignment this week to do a story on VH1's new "Naked Dating" show for Deco Drive, I was beyond intrigued and not because I needed a date, either.

When I first heard that the Crop Top was back in style, I walked straight into my bedroom, stood in front of the mirror, lifted my shirt, turned to the side and stuck my gut out as far as it would go.

Mattie McDonald was one of the prettiest women I'd ever seen. She had light green eyes, dark brown hair and milky white skin. When she wafted by me, she smelled of lavender, honeysuckle and some other hypnotizing perfume I couldn't quite put my finger on. I spent a lot of my spare time daydreaming about her and not just because I wanted to know her. Ultimately, I wanted to be her.

It's time to loosen your belt while tightening your wallet. Miami Spice is back from Aug. 1 though Sept. 30. This year, Spice is changing things and keeping it simple. Three courses, and it doesn't matter where you go; the prices don't change, $23 for lunch and $39 for dinner.
