Cavalli Miami

Posted: Updated:

Roberto Cavalli is known for fashion but at his new place on South Beach, he's branching-out in the most beautiful way. Sure, Roberto is known for his thick Italian accent, good hair, strong cologne and fashion forward ways. He spent the weekend with Shireen, who found out the master of fashion has something new up his silk, decadently patterned sleeve.

It's a place where food, fashion and design will seduce your senses.

Riccardo Silva: "It's a restaurant, a bar and a lounge upstairs."

Cavalli Miami, in South Beach was created by Roberto himself. The place is all about delicious, daring decadence.'

Riccardo Silva: "The design is Cavalli, tiger and zebra stuff, you can like it or not, but it's very iconic."

The decor, the dishes even the interior design were all done by Cavalli himself. Talk about an over-achiever.

Riccardo Silva: "It has a very strong identity and I think it matches well with Miami."

Even the cocktails done by true mixologist are made with Cavalli Vodka. I'll drink to that.

Shireen: "The food is Italian infused with a Tuscan flare, what does that mean?"

Riccardo Silva: "Roberto Cavalli is from Florence. He's from Tuscany, and it's the region where the food in Italy is the best."

Meaning, the fare is lighter with dishes like octopus, carppacio, light pastas and marvelous meats, and the portions are pristine and packed with flavor.

Riccardo Silva: "Here what I love is the food is great and you wouldn't expect in a Cavalli place, to eat like that."

Even the vino is harvested and grown by the Cavalli family.

Tommaso Cavalli: "Our wine is very pleasuredined' you know it's there is this characteristic coming from our zone, it's very nice freshness. Nice acidity, you really enjoy drinking the glass and finish the bottle."

Roberto's son Tommas was on hand (with his thick, sexy Italian accent) to give Deco the deets on their deliciously bold boquet.

Tommaso Cavalli: "Some very good wines are hard to pass from one glass to the next because they are very germy, but our wine is very pleasurable, and I would recommend to try it."

God, I love Italians. Speaking of, Roberto himself was chillin' at his place, but was a bit camera shy. I did manage to get this pic.

Whether you're wearing it, eating it or lounging around in it, Cavalli knows how to push your sexy button and really, shouldn't someone?

The last time I had on a pair of overalls, I was miles from civilization with a whip in my hand, an hysterical co-worker by my side and five angry cowboys staring me down.

I don't remember dying, but I did. Twice. It was a chilly Fall morning in October at a dentist's office in Santa Fe. My mom had escorted me to what was supposed to be a regular wisdom teeth extraction appointment.

Kindness and charm, unlike the people that live in Sin City, and i'm not talking about Vegas either. Things have changed in the town of Sin as in the motion picture while others have stayed the same. The cast of the movie told Deco what's new in part two.?

This year's Miami Spice could use a phone book just to list the restaurants taking part, more than a hundred. Which means filling up on three courses for only $39 bucks. And at some places, that means saving a whole lot of money.
