Gloria and Emilio Estefan - The Power of Love

Posted: Updated:

A star-studded celebration took place all to honor two South Florida music superstars. It's an annual event in Vegas that attracts some of the biggest names in entertainment, and this year the spotlight was on Gloria and Emilio Estefan.

The red carpet was electrified with The Power of Love as some of the biggest stars in show business came out to the MGM Grand in Las Vegas to show their love to Gloria and Emilio Estefan.

Louis Aguirre: "This is a big night for both of you guys?"

Gloria: "It's a very big night. It's a big night."

Louis: "My friends, my family, Gloria and Emilio Estefan."

Superstar producer Quincy Jones lead the night's tributes to Gloria and Emilio. The Miami super couple was honored by the Keep Memory Alive Foundation, which raises awareness and money for the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for brain health. "It's a great feeling giving back. Giving back is the most beautiful thing you can have in your life, so we're blessed, and we are very honored that they choose me and Gloria," said Emilio.

Louis: "This is a cause near and dear to your heart because your father had MS?"

Gloria: "My father had MS. He passed in 1980."

Gloria and friends put on quite the show. Superstars including Carole King, Queen Latifah, Ricky Martin, Jordin Sparks, Jon Secada just to name a few.

Ricky Martin: "They asked me to perform and I said, 'Yeah.'

Louis: "And it's the biggest party Vegas throws."

Ricky Martin: "It is a very important event. We should do more of these all around the states."

Andy Garcia: "Gloria and Emilio called me. You don't think twice about going out and supporting them. Give them a hug and say a few words."

It was an amazing night of music and heartfelt tributes.

Jordin Sparks: "When I'm singing my own songs, I know them like the back of my hand, but when you're singing Gloria's songs and she's here, you don't wanna screw it up."

Louis: "No pressure."

Jordin did an amazing job and so did Jon Secada and hot new artist Fantine.

There is a reason they call this party The Power of Love. You could feel it as millions were raised to combat brain diseases and honor two people who live up what it truly means to be a superstar

The Power of Love gala is now in it's 18th year. Past honorees include Michael Caine, Quincy Jones and Muhammad Ali. Gloria and Emilio now join a very impressive roster.

I'll never forget the endless summers I spent on the coast of North Carolina. My shoulders were always kissed by the sun, my hair was continually salty from the ocean and my one-piece, bright blue bathing suit was my constant companion.

The last time I had on a pair of overalls, I was miles from civilization with a whip in my hand, an hysterical co-worker by my side and five angry cowboys staring me down.

I don't remember dying, but I did. Twice. It was a chilly Fall morning in October at a dentist's office in Santa Fe. My mom had escorted me to what was supposed to be a regular wisdom teeth extraction appointment.

Sometimes, love can be hard to find in South Florida. The same can't be said for burgers, though. Tasty patties are everywhere. A new joint is offering up a unique take on this favorite comfort food. It's fresh, healthy and tastes like nothing you've tried before. Welcome to Burger Love.
