Ducati

Posted: Updated:

There are shoes and then there are Manolo Blahniks, Jimmy Choos, Christian Louboutins. There are bikes and then there are Ducatis. Hot, fast, Italian. Last night we got our party on with one of the sexiest bikes on the market.

Hot girls and hot bikes, sounds like a good time.

Tony Cho: "They just did a whole stunts show outside, I don't know if you saw that but they were tearing up the concrete outside and burning rubber."

Oh we saw it baby. We checked out the grand opening of the new Ducati showroom in Wynwood.

Tony Cho: "They've got a DJ, open bar, and people are having fun. Bunch of models, another beautiful day in paradise."

Yeah and the bikes were beautiful too.

Jamie Rucklos: "Ducati is a very exclusive brand. They produce less than 50,000 worldwide. To give you an idea, Honda, Harley, all the big manufacturers produce that in a month."

The brand seems perfect for the 3-0-5.

Tony Cho: "It's the most sexy, it's Italian and it's got that European flavor."

Jamie Rucklos: "Everybody likes the finer things, the higher end, the not like everybody else. Kind of like going their own way, being exclusive and they like the lifestyle behind things."

You don't have to have an Italian accent but you do have to wear the gear.

Tony Cho: "The majority of the people come here to buy apparel and accessories cause the brand is so popular."

Jamie Rucklos: "You literally can come into our shop, buy a Ducati and dress head to toe in Ducati stuff. The riding apparel, for when you're riding a motorcycle, the safety gear, the helmets. They have the lifestyle brand. The casual wear like t-shirts, jeans, shoes, socks and even women's bikinis.

If you're just starting to experience the lifestyle, don't fret. It's not going to cost you a fortune.

Jamie Rucklos: "A new rider can come and buy a Ducati and be part of that lifestyle right away."

The bikes start at $9,300 but a more expensive one can be ordered in.

Jamie Rucklos: "Its called the Superleggera. It's a super bike and its $65,000 and it's being built now, this year. There's only 500 made worldwide, so like Jay Leno, Tom Cruise, several of these high-end people have been fighting over this motorcycle."

Did you say Tom Cruise? Yeah, I think I remember something about a bike.

Tom Cruise: "So the deal is you gotta try to catch me."

Louis Aguirre: "In this car?"

Tom Cruise: "In this car"

Louis Aguirre: "And what are you in?"

Tom Cruise: "I'm in the Ducati."

Louis Aguirre: "You going down, Cruise."

Tom Cruise: "Bring it, bring it, bring it."

Louis Aguirre: "Oh it was on baby! Damn you, Cruise!!!"

Ahhhh. Good times.

I'll never forget the endless summers I spent on the coast of North Carolina. My shoulders were always kissed by the sun, my hair was continually salty from the ocean and my one-piece, bright blue bathing suit was my constant companion.

The last time I had on a pair of overalls, I was miles from civilization with a whip in my hand, an hysterical co-worker by my side and five angry cowboys staring me down.

I don't remember dying, but I did. Twice. It was a chilly Fall morning in October at a dentist's office in Santa Fe. My mom had escorted me to what was supposed to be a regular wisdom teeth extraction appointment.

Sometimes, love can be hard to find in South Florida. The same can't be said for burgers, though. Tasty patties are everywhere. A new joint is offering up a unique take on this favorite comfort food. It's fresh, healthy and tastes like nothing you've tried before. Welcome to Burger Love.
