911 calls released in Kaepernick investigation

Posted: Updated:

MIAMI (WSVN) -- The 911 calls from a suspicious incident involving San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick that occurred at the Viceroy Hotel have been released.

The 911 calls were released Tuesday along with new details regarding a DNA test that was performed on the alleged victim.

On the 911 call from April, Kaepernick's friend can be heard saying, "There's a young lady in my friend's bed. He's not here. She's not leaving. She actually took her clothes off and laid in the bed."

Dispatcher: "So, she's fully naked in the bed?"

Dispatcher: "So she's waiting for her boyfriend is that it?"

"No, he's not her boyfriend. He's someone she wants to sleep with. But he's not here, so she went and got in his bed naked, and then she's going to stay there until he gets back."

In early April, a woman who told police she had a prior sexual relationship with Kaepernick said she passed out while hanging out with Kaepernick and two of his friends at the Viceroy hotel in Brickell.

She told investigators she had some mixed drinks and marijuana, felt light-headed and went to a bedroom to lie down. She also told cops that Kaepernick followed her into the bedroom and started kissing her. She said they were kissing, and Kaepernick started to undress her until she was completely naked. Kaepernick allegedly told her he would be right back.

The next thing she remembers is waking up in the hospital.

7News has learned that investigators tested for DNA on the victim. The preliminary results came back and indicated that no DNA was found. DNA is often critical in sexual assault cases.

More of the 911 calls released by Miami Police also provided insight into what one security guard told police.

Security guard: "I asked her what her name was, and she told me her name was Jesus."

Dispatcher: "What is she wearing? What is she wearing? What color shirt and pants?"

Security guard: "She don't have no clothes on. She's in the bedroom under the covers with no clothes on."

Law enforcement sources said that while the investigation is ongoing, the lack of any DNA evidence will make it difficult to prove any sexual misconduct allegations.
