If you love beer, it's a great week to be in Miami. Some of Miami's finest watering holes are celebrating Craft Beer Week. Deco stopped by Batch Gastropub in Brickell. We got to see how the bartender and the chef are taking beer to a whole new level.

Batch Gastropub serves up craft beers to a thirsty crowd who know their beer, but this week the Brickell watering hole is getting crafty.

Batch Gastropub employee: "This week we have several items. We're are doing a $45-dollar-per-person beer paring with three courses, two appetizers. Entrées, desserts, they're gonna be paired with the beers we're pairing each day."

Batch is tapping into South Florida's love affair with craft beer, at the bar and in the kitchen.

Batch Gastropub employee: "The main concept is making sure everything pairs nicely."

Not sure what to order? Mix it up with a beer cocktail. The "Irish Handshake" mixes Guinness with pecan-infused whiskey, or go light with the "Ginger Shandy."

Batch Gastropub employee: "Start off with crushed ice, one ounce Kings ginger, one ounce fresh squeezed lime juice, half ounce of simple syrup. We are going to add the Funky Buddha Floridian, add a little room at the top. Gonna add a little ginger beer to top it off, give it a little shake. There you have it, the Ginger Shandy with Floridian."

Beer is perfect for lazy afternoons, football games and getting through kids' birthday parties, but it's also awesome in the kitchen. Check out this one-of-a-kind beer cheese with a hot pretzel, or the pepper crusted hanger steak with stout demi-glaze.

Batch Gastropub employee: "What we're trying to do is balance the flavor from the peppery stack and the acidity and sweetness from the stout."

Beer loves company. Pair that pint with a chili cheese steak pizza or mac and cheese with crispy Brussels sprouts and bacon. Yum!

"I'm having pizza. We had Brussels sprouts. Very good."

So forget the liquid lunch. At this place, you can have your beer and eat it, too, all week long.
