It's the super bowl of fashion. Miami Fashion Week gives fashion addicts a look at the trends for summer, and a peek at winter. Opening this year, local designer Julian Chang, who puts lace, shoulders and sexy mama-ness in everything.

Designer Julian Chang is on deadline.

Julian Chang: "This is wear the magic happens."

Just Days From Fashion Week, the Miami designer, known for his sexy pieces, is opening for the show this year and it's a big deal.

Julian Chang: "It is a big deal because it kinda sets the tone for the whole week, so we work really hard for that 10 minute to be amazing."

The theme for the whole week resort wear.

Julian Chang: "But you don't have to be going on a cruise to wear resort wear. You could wear it to Key West or Publix when it's 90 degrees out, right?"

Julian Chang: "It's about an attitude, a lounging attitude, it's a lifestyle attitude."

Some of the attitude pieces you'll see in Julian's show include this suit made from Chantille lace. Feminine and edgy see thru yet not.

Julian Chang: "And of course coral, the color of the season."

This dress is actually a long top with a little surprise underneath the lace shorts.

Julian Chang: "One side is completely open on the other side closed."

Each side is different on this metallic wrap dress, which, is actually two dresses. Pull the string, and you're off to go dancing.

Julian Chang: "People in Miami are used to dressing different from other parts of the country, reflecting that into our collection is wonderful."

Signature Julian Chang is exposed shoulders and back. This colbolt blue silk dress is sexy and forgiving.

For those of us who hate ironing, the asymmetrical jersey dress doesn't wrinkle and is flattering on everyone.

Want something shorter? This cocktail dress is a mix of taffeta on the bottom, and jersey on top, for a perfect fit.

And what do you think about his jumpsuit? Julian created it so the torso and leg are elongated.

Julian Chang: "Everything I design there's a reason for it, a mood or a feeling I'm trying to express."

So clearly the mood for Fashion Week will be sexy, baby.

When I got the assignment this week to do a story on VH1's new "Naked Dating" show for Deco Drive, I was beyond intrigued and not because I needed a date, either.

When I first heard that the Crop Top was back in style, I walked straight into my bedroom, stood in front of the mirror, lifted my shirt, turned to the side and stuck my gut out as far as it would go.

Mattie McDonald was one of the prettiest women I'd ever seen. She had light green eyes, dark brown hair and milky white skin. When she wafted by me, she smelled of lavender, honeysuckle and some other hypnotizing perfume I couldn't quite put my finger on. I spent a lot of my spare time daydreaming about her and not just because I wanted to know her. Ultimately, I wanted to be her.
