Cars broken into at Weston apartment complex

Posted: Updated:

WESTON, Fla. (WSVN) -- Deputies are investigating after several cars parked at a Weston apartment complex were broken into.

According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, as many as 12 cars were broken into at The Falls of Boneventure community, located at 201 Racquet Club Road, in Weston.

Several vehicles were also broken into last week at a Fort Lauderdale Tri-Rail station.

Police are speaking with victims and residents in hopes of finding a suspect or the suspects involved.

Lee Sung had her valuables inside her car when it was broken into. "Of course, of course angry. I lose anything. I don't have the money to fix anything," she said.

Soraya Dona said the community is safe and that they have never had an issue like this before. "It's never happened, anything like that. It's very safe," said Dona. "It's strange that this is happening now."

BSO is reminding people not to leave anything inside their vehicles in plain sight.

If you have any information on this crime, call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a reward.
