Miami Heat's Birdman: Athlete and reality TV star?

Posted: Updated:
MIAMI (WSVN) -- The Birdman is trying to flap a new beat. Chris Andersen who plays for the Miami Heat, released a TV trailer for a reality TV show he is trying to pitch.

The show would be called "Urban Outdoorsmen" and would feature Birdman and his friend Charlie "Big Game Ricks." Birdman posted the promotional videos on YouTube that show him and his friend fishing, shooting arrows and driving around in a big truck.

The Miami Heat's reserve center for the past season and a half has become a fan favorite. The self-described "coloring book" is known for his tattoos and his iconic on-court celebratory flair as much as his high-energy game play.

He's made fans laugh as the ringleader of the team's "Harlem Shake" video. He even showed his softer side when he took a couple on a $1,000 shopping spree. As a man of many talents, Andersen also has his own underwear line called "Freebird." He said the underwear line formed as a result of a joke with former teammate Mike Miller.

Now, the Birdman is looking to spread his wings even further, but his plans for the off-season are still unknown.
