When you choose an actor to play a villain, you don't really think of saying Kelsey Grammer. He's so lovable! But apparently, he plays really bad really good. Deco's Shireen Sandoval says Kelsey is great as an evildoer in the new "Transformers."

Kelsey Grammer, aka Dr. Frasier Crane from the TV shows "Frasier" and "Cheers," was, at one time, one of the most likable actors on TV. Now, he could be one of the most hated on the big screen. That's because of his new role in "Transformers: Age of Extinction."

Kelsey plays an evildoer that runs the CIA. I caught up with the Emmy and Golden Globe winner in Hong Kong for a little tea talk about his new role.

There are a lot of bad guys in "Transformers: Age of Extinction," but one reigns supreme: actor Kelsey Grammer. He's the franchise's new human villain.

Shireen Sandoval: "Were you a Transformers fan before? Had you seen them?"

Kelsey Grammer: "I'm a bit of a geek. I love Optimus Prime, I just love him."

Shireen: "I like Bumblebee. What does that say about our personalities, that you like Optimus and I like Bumblebee?"

Kelsey Grammer: "Well, you know, I'm a bit corny."

Kelsey says your favorite Transformer says a lot about you.

Kelsey Grammer: "Bumblebee's fun. Bumblebee's a great soldier, he's a great fighter. He's got a lot of heart. Optimus Prime is more of a philosopher, a philosopher-warrior. He knows when it's time to fight for good, and he stands up for it, and I like to think I'm in that world."

Kelsey plays head of the CIA, a guy who phases out Autobots and replaces them with government-issue 'bots. The movie is about how humans become afraid of Transformers after an alien war, and that would have nothing to do with the government ... or does it?

Kelsey Grammer: "It's fantastic to be in a Michael Bay movie. He's a fantastic guy. I love his energy, I love his imagination. When you see a Michael Bay film, you know it's an Michael Bay film."

Playing the evildoer was a good change for this nice guy, and so was a change in scenery. Part of the movie was filmed in Hong Kong.

Kelsey Grammer: "The thing that impresses me most about Hong Kong is its heartbeat. It's carving itself a new identity every day, and that turns me on when I'm here. I get this great vibe from Hong Kong"

Shireen: "It's a really cool energy."

Kelsey Grammer: "About this kind of striving prosperity grab for identity and for success, and I feel it almost everywhere I go here."

He may like the Far East, but Kelsey grew up right here in South Florida.

Shireen: "Do you get back to Florida much?"

Kelsey Grammer: "I do, actually, yeah. We come and visit quite a bit. We've missed it a bit lately. We missed the boat show this year."

Shireen Sandoval: "I hate the traffic that it brings. It drives me crazy."

Kelsey Grammer: "Well, you know what? You just kind of gotta bite the bullet if I'm gonna have that kind of life where you can always just hit that water, that beach and that weather. It's a great place to grow up."

Kelsey hopes you enjoy watching "Transformers: Age of Extinction" just as much as he enjoyed making it. Insert evil laugh here.

Don't miss my interview with the other evildoer in the movie, Stanley Tucci, Wednesday on Deco.

"Transformers: Age of Extinction" opens Friday.

Big, bouncing, beautiful butts: that's what pop culture is currently obsessed with. I can't blame people, though. I mean, I get it. I love JLo's luscious curves, Kim Kardashian's arguably more-than-ample derriere, Miley Cyrus' terrific, tail-twerking ways; I'm even warming up to Nicki Minaj's booty-popping song and video, "Anaconda."
