Deliver Us from Evil

Posted: Updated:

Sure our Deco viewers are pretty courageous, Lynn and Louis. But I would advise them to go and see this movie with someone they can hold on to or scream comfortably in front of.

People are afraid of many things.

Eric Bana - "I'm afraid of my football team losing. I'm afraid of running downstairs. I'm afraid of movies like this."

While watching "Deliver Us from Evil," try not to freak out too much.

Eric Bana - "I think you just take someone with you, don't do it on your own."

Or have a couple drinks before going in.

Eric Bana - "That's an even better idea actually and afterwards preferably."

The movie is based on a true story about a detective investigating a supernatural force, possessing the people of his community. (I think I'll need a shot of tequila.)

Joel McHale - "I'm not really afraid of being possessed. I spend too much time on my PS4 and my XBox to be possessed."

Alright you can approach the movie with a grain of salt, or get all philosophical.

Edgar Ramirez - "I don't think that you can deny or claim the existance of something that you don't fully understand."

Uh, there's something moving behind you.

Edgar Ramirez - "Yeah that thing is moving I know I know."

Anyway, if you're not at all a believer this movie may help.

Eric Bana - "I definitely had my point of view altered by working on this film, I saw some stuff in pre-production that I found quite shocking and quite interesting, lets just say just some tapes of different people."

It made believers out of these guys, so it may do the same to you.

Eric Bana - "You would not like to see them trust me, I wouldn't let anyone that I know see them. Olivia wanted to see them and I just shot her down, and then I found out afterwards that she did get to see one of them, a very brief amount and it freaked her out as I told her it would."

Olivia Munn - "The video tapes that were done by the nypd for the exorcism and that made me, I mean the things that I saw were I mean the things that you see in the movie, just a guy sitting there and his head splitting open."

Eric Bana - "Yeah, I don't think she enjoyed watching those tapes though."

I don't remember dying, but I did. Twice. It was a chilly Fall morning in October at a dentist's office in Santa Fe. My mom had escorted me to what was supposed to be a regular wisdom teeth extraction appointment.
