4th of July Suits

Posted: Updated:

The Declaration of Independence guarantees us the right to life, liberty and patriotic bikinis, so we headed out to the Mayfair Hotel to check out red, white and blue swimsuits that really show off your patriotic booty.

These suits are white hot! And rose red and bold blue, too. They're from Aquarella swimwear's 2014 collection, perfect for summer's biggest outdoorsy celebration.

Jennifer Sclafani: "The Fourth of July is coming, and it's a great time to think about swimwear, so people love to wear red, white and blue, especially with World Cup, everyone being so patriotic at this time."

The styles are fun, flirty and a bit skimpy, so you can flaunt your patriotic booty.

Jennifer Sclafani: "The fit on Aquarella is really body-conscious, so when you look at the suits, especially from the rear, you'll see a nice cheeky bottom, in most cases. The girls down here like that. We have a lot of people from South America, from Brazil. They love the Brazilian cut. It's a great fit for South Florida and the Miami market in general."

And Miami's just the place to show it all off.

Jennifer Sclafani: "Really sexy and fun, flirty. We have some ruffles. We have some criss cross, strappy style, some cut-outs."

Check out the monokinis in red or white, or mix and match your patriotic colors. This one's called "Electric Bloom."

Jennifer Sclafani: "That's an electric blue suit. We also have a great red in the collection, very reminiscent of a rose red. And white is always a popular color because, of course, when you have a tan, white looks amazing."

One color, though, is especially red hot for summer.

Jennifer Sclafani: "Every summer we get a lot of calls for red bikinis. People always spike their orders for those going into summer. It's a really popular color. It looks great on everybody, and it's fun to wear."

Aquarella has coverups in red, white and blue, too. And whatever color you pick, you'll get a good fit with Aquarella.

Jennifer Sclafani: "Every woman in South Florida should own an Aquarella suit because it has great support, great fit, great styling and great quality."

When I got the assignment this week to do a story on VH1's new "Naked Dating" show for Deco Drive, I was beyond intrigued and not because I needed a date, either.

When I first heard that the Crop Top was back in style, I walked straight into my bedroom, stood in front of the mirror, lifted my shirt, turned to the side and stuck my gut out as far as it would go.

Mattie McDonald was one of the prettiest women I'd ever seen. She had light green eyes, dark brown hair and milky white skin. When she wafted by me, she smelled of lavender, honeysuckle and some other hypnotizing perfume I couldn't quite put my finger on. I spent a lot of my spare time daydreaming about her and not just because I wanted to know her. Ultimately, I wanted to be her.

You can work up a great big hunger when you're an action hero, especially if you're playing a guy who's half man, half god. Dwyane "The Rock" Johnson gets really hungry in his latest movie, "Hercules." Our So-Flo homeboy had to stay pretty jacked for the role. That meant watching his diet, but when it was finally time to let loose, he knew just where to go.
