Heat season ticket holders feeling optimistic despite LeBron's decision

Posted: Updated:

MIAMI (WSVN) -- While the Cleveland Cavalier's tickets will quickly become the hottest ticket in Ohio, Miami Heat season ticket holders are feeling optimistic for next season.

The decision has been made for everyone but also for Miami Heat season ticket holders, and they are locked in for next season even though King James has locked out. "I'm locked in for three years," said Heat season ticket holder Monte Kane. "I believe in this team."

Kane has held his season tickets for about 20 years. Like every season ticket holder, he renewed in the middle of last season. "We're gonna do just fine, and I think our season ticket holders, and our fans know that we have our ups and downs, and let's hope that we are gonna have a good year," said Kane.

Earlier this year, the Heat gave season ticket holders renewal options. The longer the wait, the better the price and perks, but they had to be purchased before this season ended.

White Glove International's Bobby Martinez said those buying tickets on a secondary market next year will be dealing with cheaper prices, which is good news for fans looking for a bargain. "There's a lot of angry Heat season ticket holders because the value of the tickets drastically dropped," said Martinez.

For lifetime Heat fans, it has never been about LeBron James, though. They said they will return to the American Airlines Arena to support their home team no matter who is on the roster. "Four years in a row. You know, if his heart tells him he wants to go home, then good for him," said Heat fan Joe Cronin.

"It does not take long to rebuild," said season ticket holder Martin Ogawa, "and certainly in the last few hours that's what I thought about."
