FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) -- A South Florida police officer has bonded out of jail hours after he was taken into custody over alarming allegations involving his foster child.

Miami Beach Police Officer Oldy Ochoa turned himself in at the Broward County Jail Saturday morning. The 48-year-old law enforcement veteran is accused of having sex with his 17-year-old foster daughter.

The teenager claims the two became intimate in his unmarked police cruiser in Pembroke Pines in February.

Ochoa faces two counts of sexual battery.

Miami Beach Police Chief Dan Oates released a statement that read: "This is a very sad day for our department. We have cooperated fully with the Pembroke Pines Police Department in the investigation. Once the criminal case is over, we will take whatever action is appropriate regarding this officer's employment status."

Ochoa was released on bond. He has been relieved of duty with pay.
