MIAMI (WSVN) -- A City of Miami firefighter has bonded our of jail after he was arrested by Pembroke Pines Police on charges of attempted solicitation of a minor.

Forty-eight-year-old Miami Fire Rescue Lt. Ramon Marti walked out of the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Facility Thursday morning just after 6 a.m. He was allegedly caught during a sting operation engaging a detective working undercover as an underage female.

Police arrested Marti on Wednesday after he allegedly answered a classified ad on an online dating site on July 30 and had sexually explicit conversations and sent explicit photos with someone he believed to be a 15-year-old girl. Authorities said Pembroke Pines Police had setup the online dating profile as a part of a sting operation where an undercover officer posed as the minor.

Marti has been charged with attempted solicitation of a minor and unlawful use of a two-way device, that being the cell phone.

Miami Fire Rescue released a statement Thursday that read: "The City of Miami Department of Fire Rescue has been made aware of an ongoing investigation and subsequent arrest involving one of our employees while off duty. The employee has been placed in a 'relieved of duty' status while we monitor the progression of an open and active investigation. The City of Miami Department of Fire Rescue remains focused on our primary mission of delivering the highest level of service to our citizens."
