MIAMI — Florida’s Third District Court of Appeal has rejected Attorney General Pam Bondi’s request to hold off a ruling on the Miami-Dade and Monroe County cases contesting the state’s same-sex marriage ban.

The court has agreed to the plaintiffs’ request to consolidate the cases, but according to attorney Bernadette Restivo, it could take months for the appeals court to decide whether they will send the consolidated case to the Florida Supreme Court.
