Will we have a wet weekend?

The water vapor map is showing plenty of moisture in the Bahamas and Caribbean Sea. As high pressure is sitting off the coast of the United States, it is helping to draw up moisture our way.  This moisture will be the perfect fuel to see scattered to numerous showers and storms Friday afternoon, so have the rain gear on hand!

Most of the models are showing that a few of the storms that develop could be strong capable of producing dangerous lightning, gusty winds, small hail and localized street flooding with the heaviest downpours. It seems lingering tropical moisture will be responsible for busy afternoons through Sunday with a good rain chance.

By early next week, we could tap into drier air along Saharan Dust that is currently over the Atlantic Ocean.

Tropical Update: All is quiet. Lots of Saharan Dust around to keep those areas of clouds and rain in check from growing.

Have a wonderful weekend South Florida and make it a safe one!
