HIALEAH, Fla. (WSVN) — According to Hialeah Police, a South Florida man accidentally shot himself in the chest at a local gun range.
Police said the 27-year-old man was shooting during target practice when he accidentally shot himself in the chest at the Hialeah Range, located at 1040 E 49 St.
The victim was taken to the hospital by air rescue. His condition is currently unknown.
Police are inside the gun range collecting evidence and speaking with witnesses. They have not said whether the man was an employee or patron, or the type of gun that was discharged.
