MIAMI (WSVN) — You can now avoid Art Basel traffic while riding in a luxury yacht in Miami. Uber has unveiled a new "UberBOAT" service that will allow riders to avoid congestion and bridges.
Riders can request the service with the Uber app while in the UberBOAT zone.
The new service is available for a $35 flat fee and is available for groups of up to 6 riders that are 21 years or older.
The UberBOAT area includes areas below 46th Street and both sides of Biscayne Bay. A driver will then take riders to their final destination if its within the zone. The service is available beginning Thursday and will end on Sunday. It runs from 2 p.m. to midnight. The new service is in partnership with Stella Artois and the yachts will be chartered through Water Taxi of Miami. Click here for more information.
