LAUDERHILL, Fla. (WSVN) — A man caught on surveillance video holding a gun to a baby’s head during a robbery at a Miami grocery store was taken into custody after, authorities said, he barricaded himself inside a home in Lauderhill, Wednesday afternoon.
According to the U.S. Marshals Service, a task force saw Marvin Pace entering a gated neighborhood near State Road 7 and Northwest 13th Street. They tried to grab the subject, but he was able to evade authorities and barricaded himself inside a residence.
After Pace refused to exit, investigators said, a K-9 was sent in. He was found hiding in a dryer and was taken into custody.
Officials said Pace was the man captured on surveillance footage during the March 15 robbery inside the Christiana Grocery store in Miami.
