Javi Zayas, Wynwood Life: “The art, the music, the food and the fashion, so we try to exaggerate it all and kinda bottle it up into one weekend.”
The festival is now in its third year. You’ll be happy to know there’s more of everything.
Javi Zayas: “Everything’s just way bigger. We have 20 musical acts, 15 chefs in the culinary stage, over 20 artists going live, over 100 arts and crafts vendors, and we have an amazing style lounge with three to four fashion shows a day.”
Jessica York is one of the designers whose work you’ll be able to check out. She’s bringing a whole new look and feel to swimwear.
Jessica York: “Well, we decided to use unique fabric such as velvet, which I don’t think anyone was brave enough to do. We also introduced suede, so they’re just new materials I don’t think any swimwear designer has done before.”
Among the many kitchen wizards supplying the crowd with grub will be Chef Ralph Pagano of “Naked Lunch.”
Chef Ralph Pagano: “And I’m gonna do a demo on the main stage of one of our legendary sandwiches, the Ralph and Benny.”
Here’s how the “R & B” breaks down.
Chef Ralph Pagano: “The Ralph and Benny is salami, pastrami, cole slaw, truffle Thousand Island dressing, all griddled up with butter on rye bread. It’s delicious.”
Oh, here’s one more thing you’re really gonna like a lot.
Javi Zayas: “This year we’re making it completely free and open to the public.”
