More Clouds & Chance of Showers
Expect a change in our local weather pattern as a weak frontal boundary moves into Northern Florida. This front is pushing the dome of high pressure that had been in place over the western Atlantic when we started the work week now to the south of our area. This is causing a big change in our wind direction instead of an east ocean breeze we are now feeling a warm and humid southwest wind flow. The shift in our wind direction will now help push any showers that develop inland back towards the metro and coastal areas. The forecast calls for s slight chance of an isolated shower later today with high soaring to the lower 90's.
Keep those umbrellas handy because tomorrow the models show a better chance for showers. The high rain chance is because of the front sinking further south down the state. Forecast models show this system nearing South Florida sometime Friday night, this will continue to keep us under an unsettled atmosphere providing for that chance of showers to stick around until the weekend.

The dome of warm air that has not budged will bring the peak heat of the upper 80s with a chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms over the next few days.

Good-bye mild weather:
I hope you've enjoyed our recent mild temps teamed up with drier air. A dome of warm air will push the mercury readings into the ballpark of our 87° average over the next couple of days. A cold front sweeping to the north will add more clouds to the scenery with a slight chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms into next week.
