Weekend Weather....

Posted by

It was a hot, humid and hazy start on this Friday. We still have high pressure in place limiting our rain chances this afternoon and going into the weekend. The only chance of showers will be once the sea breeze develops this will favor inland Broward and Miami-Dade and stay away from metro and coastal areas. So expect plenty of sunshine with highs forecasted in the lower 90's! The hazy weather will continue tonight and into tomorrow. This will again lead to some milky skies and beautiful sunsets. I know this is not great weather for people that suffer with respiratory issues, its best that you limit your time outdoors.

Looking ahead, a front will approach Florida when it does it will push high pressure further south and will provide for a shift in our wind direction. This shift in winds will provide for moisture to return to the area, providing a slightly better chance of showers starting Sunday and hanging around until early next week.

Have a great weekend,

Memorial day Weekend

Memorial Day Weekend   Memorial Day weekend has become the unofficial start of summer, but its true meaning is to remember the service men and women who gave their lives for our nation. So as you are enjoying the freedoms they died for.... say a little prayer for them this Monday.

White Hot Long Weekend

Posted by Vivian Gonzalez

A white hot day is underway... Today we will have a very similar situation with high temperatures reaching the low 90s. However, it will feel hotter because the humidity levels are high. Record heat is possible in Miami. The forecast is calling for a high of 92 degrees, old record is 94 set back in 1989.

It shouldn't come as a surprise, (but yes) the start of the south Florida "rainy season" has begun!   According to the National Weather Service, the start date officially began on Saturday May 18, close to the median start of May 20.  Our rainy season lasts for 5-months, ending around the third week of October.
