Moisture Moves In....
After seeing a mostly dry weekend we were greeted with some isolated showers for the Monday morning commute. Those showers are being ushered into South Florida from an upper-level low located over Western Cuba. This will keep a chance of showers in the forecast mainly near the Florida Keys off and on through the day. The atmosphere is becoming unsettled and by the afternoon models show the development of the sea breeze which will bring a chance of inland afternoon showers and t-storms to Miami-Dade, and Broward. This will be our weather setup until the middle part of the work week.
By late week we turn our attention to a tropical wave that's currently located over the Lesser Antilles. This tropical moisture is forecasted to move westward and could bring us a better chance of showers as early as Friday(if it holds together).

And even further down the road the National Hurricane Center is watching a weak tropical wave located about 800 miles Southwest of the Cape Verde Islands. The NHC is giving it a 20% chance for growth over the next 48 hours. This area is producing showers and thunderstorms that could, in the long run, develop into something stronger. We have plenty of time to watch it.
Here are what the early models look like:

Have a great day!
