Tropical Trio
Its getting busy in the tropics as of 11 am this morning we are now watching 3 areas.
*First Area:National Hurricane Center is now giving an area of disturbed weather over the NW Bahamas a 10% (low chance) of potential development. Upper level winds ahead of the area will help prevent any development. This is the area that is forecasted to bring us a better chance of showers and storms tonight and into the weekend.
*Second Area: Ernesto still a Tropical Storm with sustained winds of 50mph. It is located 90 miles west of St. Lucia. This morning Ernesto brought heavy rain and some very strong winds to the Windward Islands putting most of the Islands under a Tropical Storm Warning. As of 11 am advisory the warnings have been cancelled as the forecast path has the system taking the Caribbean route over the next few days.
*Third Area: A strong area of low pressure area located in the Eastern Atlantic Ocean (about 175 miles south of the Cape Verde Is.). NHC giving it a 30% (medium chance) of it becoming a tropical cyclone in the next 48 hours.
It will be a busy weekend in the weather department so keep it tuned to the Storm Station for the latest.
