Flood of Trouble
Posted by Vivian Gonzalez
Advisories:
*Flood watch for South Florida until Tuesday morning.
*Flood warning for Eastern Broward until 10:30pm.
*Wind advisory until midnight.
As Isaac continues its journey over the Gulf of Mexico, we will continue to see the outer bands drag in gusty winds and deep tropical moisture. In fact, the ground is so saturated that the additional rain has been causing a flood of trouble.
Once Isaac moves farther away, we will see gradual improvements in our weather. On Tuesday, look for the wind to turn breezy and less tropical downpours around. This moisture will slowly become less and less... By Wednesday, we will have drier air around as an area of high pressure builds and Isaac makes landfall across the Gulf coast states. Unfortunately, Isaac for them will come close to the anniversary of Katrina.
South Florida look for our typical summer pattern to return with sun, heat and inland afternoon storm due to our developing sea breeze.
Have a safe rest of the day!

Our Weekend Warm-up
We were spoiled with a mild start to the week as the air was drier and the highs were below normal. Over the next few days, it will be hot with more humidity as we reach seasonal afternoon heat. The dome of warm air that has not budged will bring the peak heat of the upper 80s with a chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms over the next few days.

Good-bye mild weather:
I hope you've enjoyed our recent mild temps teamed up with drier air. A dome of warm air will push the mercury readings into the ballpark of our 87° average over the next couple of days. A cold front sweeping to the north will add more clouds to the scenery with a slight chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms into next week.
