Stormy Setup...
Flood advisories are in effect for parts of Miami-Dade and Broward this morning causing major headaches for the morning commute. The National Weather Service has stated that more flood advisories could be issued later in the day due to the heavy rain expected to move in off the ocean breeze. This blow up of rain is associated with an area of disturbed weather that developed overnight over the Bahamas. This area is they key forcing mechanism for the showers and storms we will experience through out the day. The ocean breeze will continue to steer any storms that develop offshore over parts of South Florida. By the afternoon most of the storms may favor inland Miami-Dade and Broward. This wet setup should begin to diminish starting tonight as high pressure builds over the state. This will also allow for the winds to relax Friday and into the weekend.
In the tropics we are tracking the progress of Tropical Storm Nadine. This system is on the verge of becoming a hurricane as its spinning over the Central Atlantic. This system will "Not" be a threat to land in its forward progress.
Stay Dry,

The HEAT Continues
Posted by Vivian Gonzalez
The "HEAT" Continues South Florida. High temperatures expected to range in the low 90s with the feel's like temperatures in the triple digits. Summer officially starts on Friday and we've been feeling the "HEAT" for a while now. This is due to steamy winds from the South as there is an area of high pressure centered in the Western Atlantic Ocean extending into the Gulf of Mexico. As far as rain chances are concerned, we will have typical chances each afternoon through Friday of seeing spotty inland storms. By the weekend, we could be dealing with a few more showers, but still feeling the Summer "HEAT." Temperature reading will be normal.

Summer officially begins on Friday and wouldn't you know it... it's started a few weeks early for us with temperature reading a few degrees above where we should be for this time of year. The weather so far has been great and outside of a spotty inland storm today and Thursday that is basically it. On Friday, we could see some more moisture around.
