Early Sunshine-Afternoon Storms
Bright sunshine this morning will be very deceiving as this will help aid for the storms that will develop later in the day. We are forecasting highs in the mid to lower 90's with "feels like" temperatures well into the triple digits. As a front with an area of low pressure continues to advance towards the northeast it will make for a wet and windy day all along the Eastern Seaboard. Weather conditions are even ripe for a few tornadoes to spawn out of some of the stronger storms this afternoon. Locally the tail end of that front will move into Northern Florida during the day. This will result in a change in our upper-level wind direction which will drag any showers or storms that develop towards the metro and coastal areas of Miami-Dade and Broward. Some storms could be strong and possibly result in some flooded streets. We will be unsettled through mid-week as we stay ahead of this front.
In tropics we are still watching T.S. Nadine. Its forward path will eventually steer the system towards the Azores. There is now a tropical storm watch in effect for portions of the Azores.
Have a great day,

Our Weekend Warm-up

The dome of warm air that has not budged will bring the peak heat of the upper 80s with a chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms over the next few days.

I hope you've enjoyed our recent mild temps teamed up with drier air. A dome of warm air will push the mercury readings into the ballpark of our 87° average over the next couple of days. A cold front sweeping to the north will add more clouds to the scenery with a slight chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms into next week.
