Stuck In a Rut...
Expect sunshine early then afternoon storms. Some storms could produce some very heavy rain and gusty winds. Be prepared there maybe advisories later in the day. We are stuck in a rut, with a front to the north and some tropical moisture to the south associated with a tropical wave located over eastern Cuba and the Caribbean Sea. Models show that if the moisture holds with that wave the northern fringe of it could affect our Friday forecast with more stormy weather. Again Tropical waves are one of the hardest weather features to forecast as they could strengthen one minute and weaken the next! We will just have to wait and see.
In the tropics Tropical Storm Nadine just South of the Azores still sparking a Tropical Storm Warning for the Azores this morning. The forecast cone shows they system staying South of the Azores and weakening by the weekend. The other area is the Non-Tropical Low located east of Bermuda with a 40% chance of development. The models show it will NOT be a threat to the U.S.

The dome of warm air that has not budged will bring the peak heat of the upper 80s with a chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms over the next few days.

Good-bye mild weather:
I hope you've enjoyed our recent mild temps teamed up with drier air. A dome of warm air will push the mercury readings into the ballpark of our 87° average over the next couple of days. A cold front sweeping to the north will add more clouds to the scenery with a slight chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms into next week.
