Nice Weekend Ahead
Posted by Phil Ferro
Saturday promises to be more typical of summer than fall. High pressure will dominate keeping us with highs in the upper 80's with some inland showers in the afternoon.
We are also following a cold front across the Ohio River Valley that is aiming for us. If it gets here, we may see some late day showers and storms on Sunday. Monday is a little sketchy with some models dissipating the front, which would mean nice conditions for us, while others push it over us bringing with it another chance for rain.
Temperatures are not expected to change with the arrival of this front, however, do expect less humidity and breezy conditions as there will be a gradual increase in winds out of the NE by the middle of nest week.
All is quiet in the tropics...
We can officially say bye, bye to Nadine which dissipated after traveling throughout the Eastern Atlantic for a little over three weeks. According to the National Hurricane Center, Nadine was in existence over the Atlantic as a tropical system for 21.25 days. Along with Ginger of 1971, Nadine has tied the second place record for the longest lasting Atlantic tropical storm.
As for Oscar, it fell apart on Friday and is no longer being tracked by NHC.
Enjoy your weekend!

Our Weekend Warm-up
We were spoiled with a mild start to the week as the air was drier and the highs were below normal. Over the next few days, it will be hot with more humidity as we reach seasonal afternoon heat. The dome of warm air that has not budged will bring the peak heat of the upper 80s with a chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms over the next few days.

Good-bye mild weather:
I hope you've enjoyed our recent mild temps teamed up with drier air. A dome of warm air will push the mercury readings into the ballpark of our 87° average over the next couple of days. A cold front sweeping to the north will add more clouds to the scenery with a slight chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms into next week.
