Drier Weather Ahead

Posted by

Locally we could see some scattered afternoon inland showers as we wait for a front to move in. Once the front clears less humid and breezy conditions are expected for the middle and end of the week. We wont notice a big drop in temperatures but you will notice how dry and comfortable it feels. We will finally feel a taste of Fall South Florida Style.

Tropics:One low just east of the Bahamas has a 10% chance of tropical cyclone development in the next 48 hours. Environmental conditions are not favorable for development. Early models have this system moving away from the U.S. towards Bermuda.

The second low we are watching is located east of the Windward Islands. This system has a 20% chance of tropical cyclone development in the next 48 hours. Early models show it heading towards the Lesser Antilles.

Have a great day!

Severe Weather Expected

Posted by Vivian Gonzalez

Lots of rain has been falling in Broward. Areas of Pompano Beach, Margate and Deerfield Beach have already been under an Urban Flood advisory. Additional showers and storms today will produce heavy rain leading localized street flooding, frequent lightning and gusty winds with the activity that forms. Therefore, be sure to pack the patience throughout your afternoon to early evening commute because it will be slowed down by the rain.

Our Weekend Warm-up

We were spoiled with a mild start to the week as the air was drier and the highs were below normal. Over the next few days, it will be hot with more humidity as we reach seasonal afternoon heat. The dome of warm air that has not budged will bring the peak heat of the upper 80s with a chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms over the next few days.
