First Taste of Fall
Posted by Phil Ferro
We will be having our first small taste of Autumn (Florida style) as the remnants of a cold front moves in. As this cold front falls apart, a change in temperature is not foreseen but humidity is forecast to decrease during the next few days giving way to a rather mild feel for South Florida. Sunshine and breezy conditions are expected to dominate our weather for the next couple of days.
We continue to watch two areas in the tropics. The first is an area of showers and thunderstorms associated with a tropical wave located east of the Windward Islands. It is possible for this system to undergo gradual development during the next couple of days and as of right now, the National Hurricane Center is giving this system a 40% chance of becoming a tropical cyclone within the next 48 hours. The second is a weak low that is located east of the Central Bahamas,it has a low chance of further development.
Have a great one!

Our Weekend Warm-up
We were spoiled with a mild start to the week as the air was drier and the highs were below normal. Over the next few days, it will be hot with more humidity as we reach seasonal afternoon heat. The dome of warm air that has not budged will bring the peak heat of the upper 80s with a chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms over the next few days.

Good-bye mild weather:
I hope you've enjoyed our recent mild temps teamed up with drier air. A dome of warm air will push the mercury readings into the ballpark of our 87° average over the next couple of days. A cold front sweeping to the north will add more clouds to the scenery with a slight chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms into next week.
