Good Chance
Posted by Vivian Gonzalez
We made it to the middle of the week! So far we are starting off warm and quiet as rain will not be impacting the early commute. However, I don't think that will be the case in the afternoon. We have a batch of clouds moving in from the Gulf of Mexico and it should help to give us a good chance of rain. The forecast is calling for scattered to numerous showers and storms developing later today. On Thursday, there will be fewer clouds and there is still the potential of seeing showers as a weak front will be nearby.
As far as the weekend is concerned, it is not looking too bad. Most of the models show yet another weak front trying to move through Sunday. This means we could see some showers. Overall looking pretty good. If you are wondering when fall type weather with cooler air and lower humidity will be around? It doesn't look like for the next week and half or so we will have some.
FYI... Rain gear will be necessary later!
Tropical Update:
Hurricane Rafael is quickly moving North-Northeast and expected to continue to weaken in the next 24 hours. It should die out in the cold waters of the Northern Atlantic Ocean over the weekend.
Have a wonderful Wednesday South Florida and make it a safe one!

Our Weekend Warm-up
We were spoiled with a mild start to the week as the air was drier and the highs were below normal. Over the next few days, it will be hot with more humidity as we reach seasonal afternoon heat. The dome of warm air that has not budged will bring the peak heat of the upper 80s with a chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms over the next few days.

Good-bye mild weather:
I hope you've enjoyed our recent mild temps teamed up with drier air. A dome of warm air will push the mercury readings into the ballpark of our 87° average over the next couple of days. A cold front sweeping to the north will add more clouds to the scenery with a slight chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms into next week.
